Daniel Barrow

Daniel Barrow is a Winnipeg artist, illustrator and storyteller working in what he calls “graphic performance, live illustration, or manual animation.” His unique practice has evolved into live animation performances of a narrative sequence using the projection, layering and manipulation of drawings, found images and light. He has had work based in performance, video and installation presented in solo exhibits at Mercer Union (Toronto), Three Walls (Chicago), and the Contemporary Art Gallery (Vancouver); as well as performing at M.O.C.A. (Los Angeles), the International festival of Animated Objects (Calgary), Dazibao (Montreal), and Images Festival (Toronto). Barrow also has performed live with the Hidden Cameras and animated a music video for them.
