Faucet Media Arts Centre is pleased to present an evening with animator/drawer/printmaker Paula Cowan. Paula is currently living in Sackville, teaching part time at NSCAD, though she has been based most often in London/Windsor/Guelph, Ontario where she taught at the University of Guelph and University of Western Ontario.
Paula will be screening a selection of her short animated videos which use an innovative technique combining performance, video, drawing and digital technologies. A self-described "printmaker's animator", her process though enhanced by digital techniques is firmly rooted in a tactile, paper and pencil approach.
WORKSHOP
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 17 - 11 AM
COST: $25/$20 FOR FAUCET MEMBERS
On Saturday, Paula will facilitate a workshop at the Centre for participants interested in exploring this technique to create their own short animated video. Paula will lead participants through the various stages of her production process in a hands on, creative process.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own video cameras and/or laptops.
