Hopelessly Enduring
The 25th Annual Members' Show & Sale
December 7 - 21, 2007

Each year since 1982 Struts has showcased the works of our Members over the Holiday Season.
For our 25th Anniversary two Members, Lianne Zannier and Amanda Fauteux, are working on the festive aspects of what we are calling Hopelessly Enduring.

The exhibition will be open on Friday December 7th for Sackville's Midnight Madness but the official opening will be Saturday December 8th with an evening to celebrate 25 years of independent artists' culture in the greater Tantramar metropolitan area & beyond! We are told to think aurora borealis, blue tinsel, disco balls & black ties! More on this another week.

Now. We need your work.

The show is open to all Struts & Faucet members. There are no size or media restrictions but members are encouraged to submit smaller works. Nor is there restriction on the number of works although we may not be able to accommodate every work.

Works can be dropped off between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Wednesday or Thursday, December 5th and 6th. If this doesn't work for you, let us know. We can and will make arrangements for you.

Works can be picked up in the New Year, Thursday January 3rd. Works that have been sold can be taken at any time with suitable arrangement. Seven Lorne Street will be closed from December 22 - January 2.

Works can be for sale or not.

Work should be delivered ready to install. Let us know ahead of time if your work has special installment requirements.

Please complete and bring with you the informational form.

Of course, your membership really ought to be current.

So many things to do and not, but it will be worth it. And again this year unbiased Judges may select your work as a Favorite!

Again this year, three community members agreed to act as Jurors
and each picked from among the works the one which they liked the very best for whatever aesthetic reason.

Victoria Spence chose Andrea Mortson's Untitled painting

Jill Messervy chose Melissa Marr's series of four small drawings one of which is entitled A man stands alone in a room thinking about Michael Snow's Canada Geese flying so high in the Eaton Centre

Jason Nelson chose Jessica Korderas' mixed media Viva Fidel!
