Scriptwriting Workshop:

A Casual Evening of Scriptwriting Talk
Questions and Answers about Scriptwriting and Independent Filmmaking

with visiting artist Roberto Santaguida
7pm, 7 Lorne Street, Free of Charge

The screenwriting workshop will be an informal Q&A, addressing the basic techniques of writing a memorable script. Insisting that screenwriting is much more than a formula-based, foolproof, get-rich-quick-scheme, Rob hopes to show how story structure can serve as an extraordinary form of self-expression.

(Montreal)

Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre are pleased to announce the arrival of filmmaker Roberto Santaguida from Montreal. Rob will be participating in the Open Studio Artist in Residence program, which is made possible by the New Brunswick Arts Board.

Rob has created many successful works and has been involved in several collaborations, working as a producer, director, screenwriter, editor, researcher and distributor. Rob describes the film as “an experimental documentary about a man, his life in tatters, who tries to seek redemption by fleeing the city.”

Currently Rob is producing a documentary entitled The Avenuers, a feature-length documentary about the avenues of Verdun, in south central Montreal and will work on the fine cut of this documentary during his residency.
