Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre are pleased to present a new exhibition of animated video installations by Toronto/Berlin duo Soft Turns. Sarah Jane Gorlitz and Wojciech Olejnik have been collaborating as Soft Turns since 2006, building miniature detailed models of abandoned social spaces and filming processes within them. As the viewer indulges in the details of their construction, priority is given to the space itself, and so these spaces begin to almost perform - building their own narratives out of the materials at hand.
The exhibition will run from November 7 - 30 and a Reception will be held in conjunction with Midnight Madness on Friday November 14, 8 pm. Like most activities at Seven Lorne Street, this event is free.
