DIY Radio Workshop:

February 24, 2009

Kitchen Drawer Radio Transmitter
Technical Tuesdays Workshop

Instructed by Peter Flemming

Ever wanted to make your own small radio station?
Using unique and easy construction method, participants will assemble a simple
working radio transmitter that they will be able to hear on a regular radio. You will
able to transmit your voice, sounds, music etc.
Along the way you'll learn a bit about how radios and antennas work and why they
are magic. We'll also look at where to get parts and how to continue learning on your
own.

Cost
$50 non-members
$30 members
$20 student members

Here are some fabulous photos of the workshop... in the end, CHMA offered to pay half the cost, and Struts paid the other half, so the workshop wound up being free for participants!

Peter Fleming gave a hands on workshop with lots of physical demonstrations as well as the theory behind how it all works!
