Hello!

It's blogging time.

I must say, that it has been a pleasure to land in a place so welcoming, encouraged, of course, by meeting a ton of folks while playing the Stereophonic Music Festival.

I've been writing music and poetry in lots of different spaces all around Struts. I've got the apartment upstairs for warmer, movement/yoga based ideas and workflow, the gallery space for a growing visual art set-up with instruments strewn about, and even a room upstairs where I can record. Dreamy.

We are going to be starting some multi-disciplinary art jams. As you can tell, I am interested in many art forms, and am always looking for reasons to put them together, workin' em out, playing, creating. So in my favourite, low key fashion, I invite you out to do some music playing/moving/video/drawing/painting AND colouring for our first art jam on Wednesday.You never know, it may just end up being me, drawing by myself all night... but I have a feeling in this town, I will be joined by artists of all kinds.

We can choose a theme, to create and build work together. Or we can just enjoy each other's company, whilst rocking out to our own art soundtracks. And of course, there is always my colouring book project, where I am encouraging everyone to colour in drawings of mine. At the end of this, I want to have a wall full of Ingrid art, coloured in, or created on, expanded upon, collaged.
