Previous Exhibitions

Jonathan Shaw; Questionable Conscience (September 15 - 22, 2007)

Jon's exhibition focuses on the interactions and associations between nature and industry. His work, consisting primarily of animations made from larger scale charcoal drawings, frequently juxtaposes imagery that considers the interesting relationship between these two realms. By creating work of this manner Jon attempts to contextualize complex systems in our world and explore how such opposing ideals can actually support one another.

50/50 Art Sale and Bake Sale (September 24 - 30, 2007; Auction and Sales Sept. 30, 5:00pm - 6:30pm)

The 50/50 Sale was a collaborative effort between many students, faculty and local residents. Through the collection, exhibition and sale of artwork and baked goods START Gallery was able to raise over $400. In addition to fundraising efforts the event provided a venue for local fine arts students to show their work and in many cases provide the artists with funds through sales of the work. The event was a great sucess and proved to be an entertaining evening of art, socializing and delicious goodies.
