Customer Service is a graphic novel about health insurance, diabetes, ambition, and obsession. It is a loosely autobiographical work set in the immediate aftermath of getting diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and explores the experience of balancing a call centre job with health insurance with one's creative pursuits, relationships, and mental health. It is a sequel to Allaby's 2021 graphic novel, The Water Lover.
