Michelle Cieloszczyk (cellosh-chick) is an interdisciplinary artist that reinterprets water rituals of Slavic mythology through sculpture, performance, and community events. She holds an MFA in Art from the University of Michigan and a BFA in Sculpture/Installation from OCAD University. Michelle was awarded fourteen grants over the past five years from Canada Council for the Arts, Toronto Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council and the University of Michigan.

Lucas Morneau

Lucas Morneau is an interdisciplinary artist, arts administrator, and curator from the island of Ktaqmtuk/Newfoundland. Known for employing drag and gender performance as a central tool in their practice, Morneau blends textiles, photography, video, performance, and sculpture to queer Canadian/Newfoundland cultural traditions and pastimes to challenge heteronormativity and homophobia.
Morneau received the 2016 BMO 1st Art Award for Newfoundland and Labrador and the 2018 Cox & Palmer Pivotal Point Grant. They were shortlisted and longlisted for several awards including the 2018 and 2021 Scotiabank New Generations Photography Award Shortlists and the 2024 Sobey Art Award Longlist. They have also received multiple grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, ArtsNL, and ArtsNB.
Morneau graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Memorial University of Newfoundland—Grenfell Campus (2016) and a Master of Fine Arts from University of Saskatchewan (2018).

Angie Richard

Angie Richard is an Acadian artist and filmmaker from Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick, located on unceded traditional Wəlastəkwiyik territory. Her practice brings together painting, performance, video, and animation, often combining mediums to explore themes related to identity, including rural life, language and nostalgia.
She is a founding member of Collectif HAT (@collectifhat), a group of artists who explore video and sound to create installations and experimental films. In 2019, they were awarded the La Vague prize for Best Acadian Short at the Festival international du cinéma francophone en Acadie (FICFA) for their film Le grous poisson.
Her work has been presented at numerous festivals both locally and internationally and has received support from the Canada Council for the Arts and the New Brunswick Arts Board.
She holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from the Université de Moncton (2013), where she also previously taught media arts in the Department of Visual Arts. Angie serves on the boards of several arts organizations, including the artist-run printmaking centre Imago and the AGAVF (Association des groupes en arts visuels francophones). She has also worked as Assistant Director at Galerie Sans Nom.

Déja Defilippis

Déja Defilippis (she/they) is an interdisciplinary artist frtom Toronto and Whitchurch-Stouville. A third year Fine Art student at Mount Allison University focusing on sculpture, Photography, and print making, her work explores themes of place, family history's of making, and relationships to community. They will join us this summer as the Open Studio Coordinator.

Laura Watson
Laura Watson is an artist and writer living in Sackville, NB/Mi’kma’ki. She makes zines and other printed things that combine hand-lettered poetry and illustrations in coloured pencil. She is currently Tantramar’s poet laureate.

Jessica Veevers
Jessica Veevers is a writer, curator, and trained paintings conservator based in Sackville, where she serves on the board of Struts Gallery. Her research and writing focus on late modern and contemporary art, and on how the histories and properties of artists' materials shape what a work means and how it lasts. She studies practices engaged with ecology, craft, and reuse, as well as synthetic and industrial material technologies. Grounded in anticolonial methods and situated learning, she teaches a range of courses, from the art history survey to Canadian and Indigenous art histories and the history and theory of art conservation — engaging the local landscape, nearby museums and artist-run centres, and artists, curators, and conservators from the region and across Canada. She is the Bourne Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in Art History and Museum and Curatorial Studies at Mount Allison University.

Kellie Mattatall
Kellie Mattatall is a visual artist, musician, and arts advocate based in Sackville, New Brunswick. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University with minors in Art History and Museum and Curatorial Studies. Her artistic practice spans painting, photography, sculpture, and installation, with a particular interest in memory, history, and place.
In addition to her studio practice, Kellie is Coordinator of Art Across the Marsh and has served extensively on arts, heritage, and community boards, including multiple terms on the Sackville Arts Wall Governance Board. She is passionate about supporting artist-led organizations, strengthening cultural opportunities in Atlantic Canada, and fostering connections between artists and the communities in which they work.
