CALL FOR PARTICIPATION | Swap Meet : "Influences"

Is there an artist who has left an indelible mark on your work? We don’t mean a literal mark because that would make them either a collaborator or vandal. Rather, is there an artist whose practice has been influential to yours? Perhaps an artist whose work has moved you to the point that you would like to share it with other people? They might be an artist you grew up with, a mentor, or someone you’ve never met. Well, it’s your chance to talk about them and their influence on your practice for 5-10 minutes, and share what you find is so inspiring about their work with an audience of other artists.

Swap Meet is a bi-monthly gathering initiated by Struts Gallery members. Each Swap Meet will see informal and brief presentations by artists in the community on a given theme, followed by questions from the audience. Part professional development, part community social, Swap Meet’s themes are member sourced.
