March 23 - April 6
“While driven by a longing for wholeness and unity, I experience uncertainty when confronted with social, economic and environmental conditions, which leads me to question optimism. Our world is increasingly polarized, having blindly allowed a mass-seduction by algorithms which amplify bias for profit. I observe threats to our relationships with each other, to the survival of humanity, and to my own ability to be okay with what is happening. The discomfort I feel when confronted with the impacts of systemic patriarchy and capitalism propels metoward yearning for change.
Reflecting on this reality, I explore multiplicity, ambivalence and oscillation between states of being. Suspended between the despair of knowing and aversion to disillusionment, I investigate destabilization within a ground of hope for a better world.
Through the cracks, the light flickers.”
