Struts TV | Video Camp

This summer Struts Gallery is offering a new Struts TV Video Camp for Youth to create and broadcast their own live puppet show. Participants will have the chance to create and perform their own puppet characters, learn about video from a professional artist, write scripts and storyboards, build sets, and shoot/broadcast a live online TV show on professional video equipment!

This camp will be facilitated by artist, educator and entrepreneur, Sherry Lynn Jollymore. Based in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, Jollymore is a fan of the fantastic, the awe-inspiring, and the funny. Her practice is multidisciplinary and often utilizes recycled, upcycled, and found textiles and objects to create one-of-a-kind wearable pieces of art. She has been teaching and making art for over 20 years collaborating with visual artists, filmmakers, and musicians. She has facilitated children’s arts programs at several arts organizations including the AGNS and The Design Exchange, and currently works as an art teacher at Sacred Heart School of Halifax.
