Struts Gallery is excited to host a roundtable discussion on independent publishing for the next edition of Swap Meet. Part professional development, part community social, Swap Meet is a semi-regular, informal, member-driven, thematic evening of presentation and conversation. We’re bringing together a selection of local members with varying practices and experiences in artist-created publishing including comic, zines, photobooks, chapbooks, multiples, and other small-press delights. Participants include Patrick Allaby, Jon Claytor, Dave Dyment, Keaghan Hawthorne, Thaddeus Holownia, Roula Partheniou, Rachel Thornton, and Laura K. Watson. Together we will discuss the dreams, highlights, horrors, best practices, and lessons learned in making, distributing, and selling artists books in 2025.
