Struts Gallery is excited to announce two upcoming stop-motion animation workshop.

Stop-Motion 101: Stop-Motion for Beginners

Saturday, March 7, 1 – 4pm

Join Production Manager Lucas Morneau as they introduce the world of stop-motion. Attendees will learn basic stop-motion techniques and create their own animations with the a user-friendly mobile phone app. Attendees will have the option to create with paper cutouts, claymation, and other techniques. This workshop is perfect for those looking to take their first steps into the world of stop-motion. A mobile phone or tablet that can download Stop Motion Studio is recommended.

Pro Stop-Motion: Introduction to DragonFrame

Saturday, March 14, 1 – 4pm

Join Program Coordinator and animator Angie Richard and learn about DragonFrame, our advanced stop-motion software that allows users to animate using professional digital cameras. Participants will learn the basics of DragonFrame and work together to build a short stop-motion animation. This workshop is a great follow-up workshop to the beginners workshop, or for those looking to dive deeper into the world of stop-motion animation.
